Volunteer Opportunity - Adult Programs
Stop by our fall open house to find out about volunteering for field trips with local students in grades K-5. Helping nurture the next generation of nature stewards is a great way to give something back to your community. Learn how easy it is to become a member of our educational team. You can give as much or as little time to the program as your calendar allows. Our outdoor field trips occur in September and October, take the winter off, and start up again for April and May. Many volunteers give a half day (2.5 hours) to a full day (5 hours) once a week during field trip seasons. Are you an empty-nester? Looking for a reason to get outdoors? Would you like to learn more about Colorado's wildlife or native plants? Are you a former teacher ready to have outdoor time with small groups of students? This volunteer opportunity may be for you. Pick up some materials, ask questions, and then take it all with you to look over at your leisure. Drop-in style open house, no formal presentation planned. We look forward to seeing you!
