Restoration Planting Project w/WRV
05/03/2025
| 09:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Boise Bend Natural Area (1225 S Boise Ave)
Volunteer Opportunity - Mixed Ages
Help restore native vegetation on the banks of the Big Thompson River. Volunteers will plant starter seedlings to help jumpstart restoration, using native species grown at High Plains Environmental Center (a local native plant nursery open to the public). Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV) will lead this project, in partnership with the City of Loveland. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and sun protection. Bring water, lunch, and your favorite work gloves (we'll have extra gloves and water, too). Additional information about what to bring on project day will be provided to registered volunteers prior to the event. The Loveland Community Stewardship Initiative is a collaborative effort of Loveland, WRV, Big Thompson Watershed Coalition, Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County, and Loveland Youth Gardeners. With funding from Great Outdoors Colorado to build a stewardship community in Loveland, these partners are hosting volunteer events through 2025, with a focus on local engagement and stewardship of Loveland Open Lands and the health of the Big Thompson River.
