I've had a lifelong appreciation of the natural world and the plants and animals that make it their home. I'm an avid hiker, and enjoy time outdoors spent with friends and families. Helping others learn about, appreciate and enjoy the outdoors with respect and wonder is why I volunteer with Open Lands.

I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit

Enjoy learning about local trails, plants, birds, wildlife, and history of the areas. Helping others to appreciate our great outdoors and all that it offers is a joy for me.

Since my birth long ago in 1950, I have had an immense interest in the natural world. It has been my good fortune to have gone on many hikes, rafting and canoe trips, and field trips (both in the US and internationally) with study of geology, botany, zoology, and ecology. My undergraduate training was in biology. My life has included living overseas (Turkey and the UK) for 6 years. Also I am a medical doctor. The outside world had been a immense source of wonder to me.
