PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION SCROLL DOWN after clicking on "Profile" Mark your calendars! Informational Meeting about volunteering to help present environmental education programs. This meeting will showcase the three programs we are offering Thompson School District this spring. Anyone with an interest in volunteering to be an environmental educator is requested to attend. Drop-in open house style meeting. Please RSVP if you are unable to attend and I will send you information that will be handed out at the meeting. There will be a table display for each of the programs, with experienced volunteers to answer your questions: 1. Critter Scene Investigations (CSI) "The Case of the Cracked Eggshell" - hosted at Namaqua Park and local schools 2. Plants & Places - hosted in Loveland at River's Edge Natural Area 3. Our Canyon & Its Wildlife - Energy thru the Biosphere - hosted at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park, in the Big Thompson canyon. The new half-day curriculum will be available along with last fall's full-day handbook. This meeting will allow you to view volunteer handbooks for each program offered, learn about volunteer commitments and expectations, and see detailed subject material. We can help you to sign up for training and advise you of program needs (scheduling, material to learn, physical demands, etc.). Let us put your mind at ease and excite your passion for sharing nature! No previous knowledge or experience needed, all training is free (occurs in March), and new volunteers are paired with experienced educators as mentors. We already have our first CSI reservation - April 1st - and 12 elementary schools have made half-day reservations for Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park. We are excited to bring outdoor environmental education back to our mountain park; consider joining us! Contact: City of Loveland Open Lands and Trails Michele Van Hare [email protected] 970.962.2643
