Guided Walk: Nature, Birding, History - Mixed Ages
Join us for a morning guided bird walk at River's Edge Natural Area during the spring bird migration. Experienced volunteer birders Dee W. and Alice G. will help spot and identify resident and migratory bird species, including raptors, songbirds and waterfowl, as they return to the area to breed, or move through on their way further north. Plan for a leisurely walk on natural-surface trails around the ponds, around 1 mile. Binoculars, water, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Meet by the large kiosk map at the main parking lot. Recommended for ages 10+ with an adult. Registration required; space is limited.
