Training Opportunity - Adult Programs
Learn some history both cultural and natural (geologic) to share with park visitors, will include table and walking elements. This training will take a little longer as you'll learn a little about the original homestead, the power plant, and the CCC. We will also talk about the flood and the geology of the area: you'll learn a little about the canyon and what it is made of, how the park changed after the 2013 flood, and to identify a few very common rocks in the park. Think of this as learning to host a "Park Information Here" table near the bridge and CCC picnic shelter. Once trained you may pick any day or any time to do trailside interpretation and I'd like to encourage volunteers to consider sign up to do this on days that the Educational Cabin is open so you can also direct people up to visit the cabin.
