Natural Areas After Dark - Mixed Ages
Members of the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society (NCAS) will have telescopes available for viewing stars, galaxies, planets, and more. Come see what an up-close view of the night sky over the Rockies will reveal this month. Dress in layers for the possibility of cool evening temperatures and bring binoculars if you have them. Weather dependent. Registered participants will be notified if the program is canceled, so please pre-register, and if the weather is questionable, check your email before leaving home. In the case of a cancellation, an email will be sent at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start of the program. If no email, the event is a "go." Born in Fort Collins, I have lived in six other states as well as five of our mountain ski towns. Most of my free time is spent outdoors hiking, backpacking, stargazing and photographing nature and wildlife. I also create art and music. Growing up here I have seen the population explode. So I cherish our parks, trails and open spaces which is why I volunteer because having access to nature and recreational opportunities is incredibly important to a healthy thriving community and ecosystem.
