Training Opportunity - Adult Programs

The CIG Program is a four-day, 32-hour course, over two weekends. Nationally recognized, Certified Interpretive Guides include individuals who deliver interpretive programs or have contact with the public at interpretive sites. The course is required for those who would like to develop and present independent guided walks and programs on behalf of Open Lands and Trails. You will learn how to plan a cohesive, engaging program and improve your presentation techniques. Significant discount for volunteers in good standing, Certification with NAI is optional. Contact Michele Van Hare for details and final cost (volunteer hours leading programs can offset cost of training). For more information and to register on NAI, please use the following link (copy and paste into your browser): https://www.interpnet.com/NAI/nai/_certification/registration/cigregistration.aspx?EventKey=GI100723 Pricing: 32 hours of Training through the National Association for Interpretation: Minimum Registration Fee $230 (fee could be higher based on location or additional materials). Add Certificate Application Fee $165 Note: certification is optional and not required for presenting on behalf of Open Lands and Trails FREE 32 hours of the same training with NAI trainer through the Open Lands and Trails volunteer program: we want you to present a program to the public three times though the next calendar year and we waive the instruction fees.
