Natural Areas After Dark - Mixed Ages

Canceled due to poor weather and rescheduled for Tuesday, August 5th. Sign up in Offero. Many people are familiar with daytime pollinators such as butterflies and bees, but did you know that a lot of pollination happens at night? Learn about nocturnal pollinators and observe species found on site that gather on a lighted sheet. Join Loveland Interpretive Naturalist Guide Dalia Z. for an exploration focusing on our valuable and fascinating after-dark insects. Free, all ages welcome. Dress warmly for cooling evening temperatures. NOTE: Due to limited parking, please plan to carpool, if possible. Also, the mosquitoes may be out! Bring bug repellent and plan to apply it in the parking area before we head out to the program and observation site. Registration required. Sign up for reminders and notifications.

Dalia Z - Guest Speaker

I am a retired Chemistry teacher and former elected official involved in watershed and habitat restoration and conservation. I really enjoyed my Indiana Master Naturalist training and I am working on learning all about my new surroundings and wildlife here. I am a novice but enthusiastic birder and botanizer; I find invertebrates fascinating. I have a firm belief that everyone benefits from time outdoors in natural areas.
