Volunteer Opportunity - Mixed Ages

All volunteer leaders and volunteer participants will meet at Namaqua Park parking lot at 11AM. After determining how many volunteers we have , we'll split up to search 3-4 natural areas for litter, meeting back at Namaqua Park at 12:30 (each site should have about an hour for travel and pick up). The idea is to catch the trash before the snow beats it down - yes, I hoping for white stuff in a big way. If we stay dry, we may do this again in January or February. Bags, gloves, grabber sticks will be provided. Dress for the weather and if it is snowing, watch your Offero calendar or email for a cancellation. Monday, December 13 will be our weather date. Please register as a participant unless you want to be the leader responsible for leading your crew to your site, assigning areas, bringing the bags, handing out gloves, etc. The teams at the Oxbows and Mariana Butte will also work toward each other on the Hidden Hogback trail. Any team that finishes early will be asked to help patrol the natural areas of Namaqua Park: along the river, near the old learning stations and along the road to the natural area across the river to the north.
