Natural Areas After Dark - Mixed Ages

NOTE TIME: ARRIVE 8:45PM, WALK STARTS AT 9PM. It has to be dark to see the fireflies. We will have a walk to the west looking for fireflies and other notables along the closed road. We discovered the fireflies in 2018 and with enough moisture this year, it should be good viewing. You may have heard people say that "fireflies don't live in Colorado" - you just need to know where to look! Event will be held at the closure of Cedar Valley Drive, access from the EAST only (via Rossum Drive). Address: 5705 Cedar Valley Drive, Loveland 80537 (Google Maps link: https://bit.ly/3K9xCJ9) NOTE: due to limited parking, please plan to carpool. Also, the mosquitos may be out! Bring bug repellent and plan to apply it in the check in area before we head out on the walk - no repellant allowed on the walk so we don't affect the fireflies. Free, all ages welcome. Dress warmly for evening temperatures and bring binoculars if you have them. Registration required. Sign up for reminders and notifications.
