Volunteer Opportunity - Mixed Ages

Join us for a group weeding effort! We are partnering with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV) to offer this unique opportunity at Willow Bend Natural Area along the east Big Thompson River (not yet open to the public). Volunteers will help remove biennial weeds in advance of other habitat improvement projects to come. We'll target curly dock, thistles, and mullein by topping and bagging seed stalks to keep millions of seeds from entering the ecosystem. All tools and materials provided. No experience necessary. Wear sturdy shoes, with long pants and sleeves recommended. Bring a filled water bottle, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, and your favorite work gloves (we'll have extras). Age 14 and up, with an adult.
