Guided Walk: Nature, Birding, History - Adult Programs

Join Certified Interpretive Guide Eldon Grimm for a Sunset Guided Walk at the new Willow Bend Natural Area, which just opened to the public on June 5. The Natural Area is part of one of the largest and most unique parks in Loveland. We will be exploring the 1.1-mile soft surface trail which gives us access to a small pond and the Big Thompson River and is adjacent to Simpson Ponds State Wildlife Area. Our explorations will include pond and riverside habitats along with a nice wet meadow. Be prepared to wander a bit off the trail by wearing long pants and close-toed shoes. Insect repellent and sun protection are advised.

Eldon G - Guest Speaker

I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit
