Trek the Thompson is a FREE family-friendly event to celebrate the Big Thompson River, with our partners at Big Thompson Watershed Coalition and many other local conservation and stewardship organizations. Enjoy a variety of opportunities to learn about the role of the river and watershed as important habitat for wildlife, a recreation area, and a source for clean drinking water, among many other benefits. By visiting Trek stations, you can earn spins on the prize wheel, with a chance to win $5 or $10 in Market Bucks, to spend at the Loveland Farmers Market next door. A free guided birding trek along the Big Thompson River will also be offered. Registration is required at www.trekthethompson.org and space is limited. Drop-in to Trek the Thompson between 9am-1pm to participate in hands-on activities and visit partner stations. Pick up information and free swag and enjoy food options available from Farmers Market vendors and food trucks. Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled day along the river!
