01/24/2023
| 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM
Mirasol Senior Community (1153 Finch St)
Specialty Program - Adult Programs
Colorado is renowned for its spectacular mountain scenery. The whole state is elevated above the surrounding area and more than 50 mountain peaks reach over 14,000 feet above sea level. The Rocky Mountains constitute the only mountain range in the world that is located so far from forces normally credited with forming mountains. In this talk, Certified Interpretive Guide Eldon Grimm will explore the forces that created these mountains, in this unique location, and those that carved them into what we see today. The presentation includes a video, diagrams, and many original photographs all geared to enhance your appreciation of the mountain scenery we all enjoy so much.

Eldon G - Guest Speaker
I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit
