Join members of the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society (NCAS) for an up-close look at the night sky over the Rockies. Telescopes will be available for viewing stars, galaxies, planets, the moon, and more. At 9:30 we will have a walk to the west looking for fireflies and other note-ables along the closed road. We discovered the fireflies last year and with all of the moisture we've been having this year, it should be good viewing. You may have heard people say that "fireflies don't live in Colorado" - you just need to know where to look! Event will be held at the closure of Cedar Valley Drive, access from EAST only (Rossum Drive). Address: 5705 Cedar Valley Drive Loveland 80537 (Link: https://goo.gl/maps/KJFvJM4Uke3chShe6) Free, all ages welcome. Dress warmly for evening temperatures and bring binoculars if you have them. For up-to-date weather information, visit the NCAS website at www.nocoastro.org. Registration required. Sign up for reminders and notifications.
