Loveland's Wildlife Reserve - Sunset Guided Walk

 07/17/2024  |  07:00 PM - 08:30 PM
Morey Wildlife Reserve (5439 Cedar Valley Dr)

Guided Walk: Nature, Birding, History - Mixed Ages

Morey Wildlife Reserve is set aside as a wildlife conservation area, with opportunities for passive recreation. People are welcome to walk, birdwatch, take photos, watch wildlife, and generally enjoy the quiet. The conservation easement over the site does not allow dogs, bicycles, jogging, or other activities that might impact our wild residents. Join Certified Interpretive Guide Eldon Grimm in exploring this special site. Parking is along the streets in the neighborhood. There is no parking on the access drive down into the wildlife reserve/golf course. Please do not block any resident driveways. You may want to add a few minutes to your travel time to allow for the walk to the starting point; look for the green flag. Please dress for the weather and wear closed toed shoes. Note: it is cooler down in the floodplain in the wildlife reserve than up in the neighborhood. Insect repellent or long sleeves recommended.

Eldon Profile Photo

Eldon G - Guest Speaker

I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit
