PEEPs program - Self-guided hike of Oxbow Natural Area
Thu 06/18 - Sat 06/20
| 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
Oxbow Natural Area (1135 + 1140 Rossum Dr)
PEEPs Preschool Environmental Ed Program - Mixed Ages
Oxbow Natural Area is along the Loveland Recreation Trail, you might consider making it the destination of a bike ride. There is also a picnic table near the bridge on a high spot. The trail loop is 0.29 mile and you can add 0.13 more if you park along Rossum Drive. There are lots of little places to explore and some river access. Flags will be placed along the trail identifying features to look for as you walk around the site. Start at the pedestrian bridge coming from Rossum or the Rec Trail on the north end - there will not be an order to the flags so you can travel in any direction. We hope that everyone will stop at the Trail kiosk to register participating so we can determine if this can be an ongoing option during the "Safer at Home" season. An optional activity sheet will be posted on the Open Lands and Trails web page the day before the self-guided flags are placed and ready. If we receive positive feedback - the July hike will be on the Round Mountain Trail up to the view shelter.
Minimum Participants: 6Maximum Participants: 75
