Community Events - Mixed Ages

Join us to celebrate Loveland & National Trails Day! The Community Event will be hosted at Centennial Park, in the east end of the parking lot near the pickleball courts (977 W 1st St). We'll have fun for all ages, including local vendor and organization booths, bike demos, bike safety checks, helmet fittings, bike speed radar, giveaways, trail maps, and other information. Food for purchase by Fork Yeah! food truck and free face painting by Swirls & Curls. Participant registration requested for planning swag and notification of changes. As an optional Trails Day activity, sign up for the Trail Stewardship Volunteer Project at River's Edge Natural Area from 8-10AM, to help improve soft-surface trails with crusher fine material. Meet at the River's Edge main parking lot (960 W 1st St). Closed-toe shoes recommended, along with a hat and water bottle. All tools and materials provided. Walk or ride your bike to the event and spin the wheel for a special prize! Parking available at Centennial Park and River's Edge, and at nearby trailheads including Wilson Ave and Fairgrounds Park.

Eldon G - ALL Volunteers

I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit
