Guided Walk: Nature, Birding, History - Mixed Ages

Earth Day is a time to celebrate our natural world and all that lives with us. Are you joining us to listen to the drummers? Would you like something to do until it is storytelling time? Continue to enjoy the festivities by going on a guided walk the whole family can enjoy. Join Open Lands & Trails volunteer educators and take a walk to see things you may not have noticed before. Learn about native plants, animal residents, and history of the natural area. This is an informal, easy walk. Meet at the main picnic shelters at 5PM (where the craft tables will be packing up). Registration required for notification of changes. Be sure to check out the other fun activities we have planned for Earth Day 2023 which include: 3-4pm Native plants guided walk (registration required) 3-5pm Craft tables open (registration recommended) 4-5pm Drum circle with Djembe Jive 5-6pm Family guided walk (registration required) 6-7pm Storytelling – stories of nature from Spellbinders

Eldon Profile Photo

Eldon G - Env. Ed. Plants & Places

I have spent most of my life in Colorado. I have a lifelong interest in nature as a photographer, an avid reader, a hiker (really an ambler), a student, and a teacher. I enjoy sharing nature with others and have been told that I make it easy and fun for my audiences. I have volunteered with the Open Lands and Trials Division since March 2018. I have volunteered as an instructor, trail host and guided walk leader. I am a Certified Interpretive Guide. I look forward to sharing time in Nature wit
