This volunteer training is for the Canyon Wildlife-Energy Pathways program and may be hosted in a half-day or full-day format. All volunteers will participate in the Full day training so they can sign up for either half- or full-day school requests. This free training is available for any adult to help present field trip programs to local school groups. This program is offered to 4th and 5th grade students at small group learning stations and on short hikes at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park. All training and materials provided. Topics covered include food chains, plants and wildlife of the canyon, decomposition, and animal adaptation. No experience needed, we will give you everything you need and mentor partners are available.
