Training Opportunity - Adult Programs

Are you passionate about the environment and do you enjoy working with children? This free training is available for any adult to help present "Plants & Places" field trip programs to local school groups. Plants & Places is offered to 2nd and 3rd grade students at small group learning stations and on short hikes at River's Edge Natural Area. All training and materials provided. Background check required. See our website (www.lovgov.org/openlands) and click on Volunteer Opportunities and Environmental Education for more information. Learning station topics cover information about the importance of plants, why cattails don't drown, how seeds are spread, and what poison ivy really looks like in this area. Hope you will join us.
