Have you ever just wanted to try telling a story = no book, just you and the listeners, maybe at a campfire? Here is your chance to learn the basics and get a taste of oral storytelling. And there's another Evening of Storytelling coming in August - would you like to participate and tell a short story? Four-year member of the Spellbinders of Larimer County and Certified Interpretive Guide Linda Marshall will be teaching the basics of how to identify your audience, choose a story, and make it your own. Michele Van Hare, Environmental Education Coordinator and CIG Trainer, will be helping you with presentation details regarding your site, audience considerations, and equipment and opportunities to tell stories with Loveland Open Lands and Trails. This is an adult session - if there is enough interest from youth participants, we would be happy to offer a session for our teens and tweens. Bring writing materials. You may bring potential story material but you will be provided with some ideas that will easily lend themselves to a 2-4 minute presentation. Free.
