Loveland Cherry Celebration

 07/20/2024  |  05:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Loveland Museum (503 N Lincoln Ave)

Volunteer Opportunity - Adult Programs

Volunteers helping with the Cherry Festival booth will be giving time in shifts so that all volunteers can also attend the celebration and get some goodies from other vendors. Here are some details about the event: The Loveland Cherry Celebration Details During the 1920s, Loveland boasted the largest cherry orchard to the west of the Mississippi River and was famous for producing over $1 million in cherries every year. The event seeks to recognize Loveland’s local heritage as once being home to over 10,000 acres of cherry orchards from the 1920s through the 1960s. The 2024 Celebration supports local vendors, artisans, non-profit organizations, and the community at large by providing an annual event with community, fun, and music. This year's Cherry Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 20, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, taking place outdoors next to the Loveland Museum on 5th Street and the parking lot.

I begin volunteering for City of Loveland in 2017. I was already volunteering for Poudre Wilderness Volunteers since 2012, Larimer county, and City of Fort Collins since 2016, doing work that involves mostly patrolling trails on USFS land and city and county open spaces, also some bookkeeping. Being a Loveland resident I wanted to give some time to my home town and was happy to find an area that interested me.
