This Critter Scene Investigation will be open house style, feel free to arrive any time between 9 and 10:45AM. Families will go through the stations at their own pace and meet a volunteer at each station who will help investigators by providing clues about animal behavior. The Case of the Cracked Eggshell investigates 6 suspects after finding cracked Robin's eggs on the ground beneath a cottonwood tree. Suspects include: a duck, a snake, a deer, a raccoon, a skunk, and a cowbird. Suspects are confirmed or eliminated based on habits, habitat, and unique characteristics. Participants under the age of 18 completing the investigation earn a pin with a picture of the guilty party. If you missed this first investigation 2 years ago and are collecting the pins - this may be your last chance for the Case of the Cracked Eggshell (there are 4 pins so far).
