Join us at Fairgrounds Park for the 11th annual FREE Dog Day of Summer event for dogs and their people. Bring your well-mannered leashed dog to learn where and how to enjoy the outdoors together, talk with trainers and nutrition experts, and connect with other providers of canine comforts. Drop-in event, but be sure to register to receive free dog-themed Open Lands & Trails swag. Pick up samples and freebies from partner booths, and join the scavenger hunt to earn a spin on the prize wheel for even more great giveaways! Confirmed partners include: Atlas Pet Photography Buddy's House Foster Dogs Canine Candy Biscuits City of Tails Dog Training and Dog Preschool Dog Baths and Beyond Fetch Poop LLC Groomtopia Quality Grooming Hank's Pet Food Market KK9 Dog Training Little Bear Pet Sitting LLC Lucky Dog Spa NOCO Humane Paragon Service Dogs Passanante's Farm to Table Food Service Paws and Claws Pet Services Poudre Pet and Feed Supply Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists Until They're Home/Keep Them Home Crisis Support. Activities to try will include agility obstacles and canine parkour. We will also have a dancing dogs demonstration and a puppy meet and greet. If you can carpool, please do. Born in Fort Collins, I have lived in six other states as well as five of our mountain ski towns. Most of my free time is spent outdoors hiking, backpacking, stargazing and photographing nature and wildlife. I also create art and music. Growing up here I have seen the population explode. So I cherish our parks, trails and open spaces which is why I volunteer because having access to nature and recreational opportunities is incredibly important to a healthy thriving community and ecosystem.
