Dog Day of Summer '26

 06/27/2026  |  06:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Fairgrounds Park (700 S Railroad Ave)

Community Events - Mixed Ages

Join us at Fairgrounds Park for the 11th annual FREE Dog Day of Summer event for dogs and their people, with opportunities to discover, explore, and try out new ways to recreate with and support our furry friends. Bring your well-mannered leashed dog to learn where and how to enjoy the outdoors together, talk with trainers and nutrition experts, and connect with other providers of canine comforts: local groomers, food and treat suppliers, and pet sitters/kennels. Drop-in event, but be sure to register to receive free dog-themed Open Lands & Trails swag. Taking applicants for participating 2026 booths, we have 1 space left. Confirmed partners include: Atlas Pet Photography, Buddy's House Foster Dogs, Canine Candy Biscuits, City of Tails Dog Training and Dog Preschool, Dog Baths and Beyond, Fetch Poop LLC, Groomtopia Quality Grooming, Hank's Pet Food Market, KK9 Dog Training, Little Bear Petsitting LLC, Lucky Dog Spa, NOCO Humane, Passanante's Farm to Table Food Service, Poudre Pet and Feed Supply, and Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists. Activities to try will include agility obstacles and canine parkour. Very popular is our "Where to Hike with Your Dog" guidebook. If you can carpool, please do - over 300 people and their pets attended 2024’s Dog Day event (weather was a bit sketchy last year and still over 100 participants!). Thank you to all those dog owners who use our natural areas respectfully, using leashes, picking up after their pups, and supporting Open Lands & Trails! Help us spread the word - invite some friends to join you at our Dog Day of Summer annual dog-centric playday.
