Critter Scene Investigation Training. This program is for K-2nd grade; the children’s programs last 1.5 to 2.5 hours and can be hosted at Namaqua Park or at the host school. Volunteer training lasts 2 hours, with each volunteer being introduced to short 8-10 minute presentations that are repeated for each small group of 4-8 students. This is a good introduction to volunteering for environmental education if you like working with young children. Can be scheduled by teachers for morning or afternoon sessions September through early November. Note: all educational volunteers are required to have a background check. Number of teaching days is dependent on teacher reservations, number of volunteers, and their training. Based on historic trends we may need you 2x per month, but no more than 6x/month. Volunteers will also be invited to participate in the spring 2023 sessions but this is not required.
Minimum Participants: 4Registration is requested for this event. By clicking "sign up" you will receive a reminder and updates about this program.
