For this preschool program, we will be focusing on that little mammal that is so important to the food chains of several of our other subjects: the field mouse! Be ready for some activities, a story and a snack. Dress for the weather. Meet at Mehaffey Park, Shelter A (enter from 22nd St). Fun facts about mice, who needs them, and why we do not want them in our homes. Activity includes making "homes" out of pumpkins, tying into the fall season. Team pumpkins will be displayed at Parks Admin. or the Loveland Library. Bring your own 6-8 inch diameter pumpkin if you'd like to take it home at the end of the session. From experience, field mice do sometimes make their home, or at least their kitchen larder, out of pumpkins left in the field. Hope you join this fun class!
