Volunteer Training: Plants & Places Env Ed field trip - Chilson Recreation Center (700 E 4th St)

Training Opportunity - Adult Programs
We are meeting in the Party Room - just past the vending machines from the Chilson Recreation Center lobby. Training Opportunity - 30 minute preview, then stay for training if it appeals to you, no obligation to commit to teaching at this time. Are you passionate about the environment and do you enjoy working with children? This free training is available for any adult to help present "Plants & Places" field trip programs to local school groups. Plants & Places is offered to 2nd and 3rd grade students at small group learning stations and on short hikes at River's Edge Natural Area. All training and materials provided. Adults 18+, background check required. Learning station topics cover information about the importance of plants, why cattails don't drown, how seeds are spread, and what poison ivy really looks like in this area.
