Training Opportunity  -  Adult Programs

We are meeting in the Erion Room - upstairs Loveland Public Library. Are you passionate about the environment and do you enjoy working with children? This free training is available for any adult to help present our "Plants & Places" field trip programs to local school groups. Plants & Places is offered to 2nd and 3rd grade students at small group learning stations and on short hikes at River's Edge Natural Area. All training and materials provided. Adults 18+, background check required. Learning station topics cover information about the importance of plants, why cattails don't drown, how seeds are spread, using a low-power microscope, and what poison ivy really looks like in this area. Also includes a relay race activity, the Sun, Soil, Water and Air game. Training Opportunity - 30 minute preview, then stay for training if it appeals to you, no obligation to commit to teaching at this time. See our website (www.lovgov.org/openlands) and click on Volunteer Opportunities and Environmental Education for more curriculum information.
